UCAS guidance
Guiding our students in finding the best university path for their academic and career goals.
Every year, Moonstone Academy assists over 200 students with their UCAS applications, including more than 100 early submissions for competitive courses such as Oxbridge, Medicine, Veterinary Science, and Dentistry. While the academy provides invaluable support, it encourages students to conduct their own research and make independent decisions, ensuring they feel confident in their university choices.
In the Summer Term of Year 12, students are encouraged to begin planning for their UCAS applications. To help students achieve their goals, the academy organizes a variety of events to keep them informed about the application process. These events include a UCAS Information Evening for parents, assemblies, personal tutorials, and one-on-one meetings with academic referees.
For students applying to courses with additional admission tests, like the LNAT (Law National Aptitude Test) and TSA (Thinking Skills Assessment), there are tailored information sessions. Additionally, every student has the opportunity to participate in a mock interview to build confidence under pressure. With the academy’s strong relationships with Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities, students can also take part in workshops and advisory sessions led by university representatives.
“At Moonstone Academy, we are dedicated to providing exceptional support to ensure our students have the opportunities and encouragement they need to thrive and reach their full potential, both academically and in the broader community.”
